Pensiunea Denis

Pensiunea Denis — a traditional guesthouse and restaurant in Cătina, Cluj County — came to us for a complete rebrand. We built the visual identity from the ground up and applied it consistently across the entire site, from the logo in the header down to the very last button.

A logo crafted from scratch

We designed the Denis logo entirely in our studio. The „Denis” wordmark is hand-lettering — drawn by hand and vectorized in-house, not an off-the-shelf font — set within an elegant oval that conveys warmth and tradition. We delivered a complete logo system, ready to use anywhere:

• Primary version (green on a light background) for the header and hero
• Cream version for dark backgrounds (footer)
• Dedicated lockups for „Denis + Restaurant” and „Denis + Guesthouse”
• Brand guidelines (PDF) with usage rules

Color palette and typography

We built a warm, natural palette inspired by the Transylvanian landscape:

• Forest-water green (#243B33) — the primary color
• Medium green (#7C9489) — secondary accents
• Clay (#B0764F) — warm accent
• Brass / gold (#C2A26A) — premium details
• Cream (#F3EDE1) — backgrounds and contrast

The typeface is Cormorant Garamond, an elegant serif used throughout the site for a refined, welcoming feel.

Design and the technical side

The site runs on WordPress, with a custom design (HTML + CSS written by us) built on top of a modular theme. The navigation bar is transparent over the hero and turns opaque, with a blur, on scroll. Every page features a full-screen hero, and the photo gallery opens in a lightbox.
